MAMAH and partners receive funding from the NOVO NORDISK foundation to boost income and nutrition With insect farming in Kyaka II refugee settlement

The Novo Nordisk Foundation has made a grant to our consortium (MAMAH, Impact Design, Yiya Solutions and Bobo Eco Farm) to expand our activities in Kyaka II refugee settlement and host communities in Kyegegwa district to boost income for farmers through production of the larvae of the black soldier fly and also boost nutrition through the production and consumption of the yellow mealworm (Tenebrio molitor). Over 2000 beneficiaries will be reached through the project. About 6 schools will also benefit from fortification of their meals using insect protein.
