The MoU signed between MAMAH and The Office of The Prime Minister (OPM) establishes the framework for cooperation in providing livelihood, nutrition and
health programs in refugee settlements in Uganda.
The Department of Refugees under the Office of The Prime Minister is responsible on behalf of the Government of Uganda to receive, settle and provide protection to refugees and staff of humanitarian agencies providing services to the refugees, monitoring, and coordinating refugee programs and activities.
Through this MoU MAMAH with partners – Bobo Eco Farm, Impact Designs, Yiya Solutions are introducing the use of insect protein in the fortification of school meals within Kyaka II refugee settlement and their host communities.
We will also support 10 farmer cooperatives to rear the larvae of the black soldier fly (BSFL) as a source of income, and to support their organizational development. This work is funded by DANIDA and The One Life Foundation.
